Spa Francorchamps is where we are at for the final STC Blue Cup race. After nein races leading the championship we are now two points ahead of the leader; Flat Out Racing.

Let’s hope for the best.

Simracing Points & Action: SPA the final race in STC

What a season it is. Leading the whole STC Blue Cup with only one win. Losing the lead in the Simracing Team Challenge by three point since the wet Le Mans. Where all team got 50% of there points because of a server error. We are looking at the most important race of this year so far. The last race in the Simracing Team Challenge Blue Cup. Wil Flat Out take another win and the championship? Or wil RPM, The Roaring Pipes Maniacs win and have a big party and drink Belgium beers afterwards? For now all we can do is wait.

Le Mans, Le Race, Le Fight from Le Back & Le Error

Here we go at Le Mans, in France. A few day’s after the real race on Le Mans. Bad news for our team; we’re starting from the back because of a human error in our team. With four point ahead of the Flat Out Racing team, and two races to go. This will be the most important race of the season.

Lap 1 – Mikko Korkiakoski (Flat Out Racing) in the lead, Rami Kaukola already 14 and Hannu Karesola 11.
Lap 2 – Rami Kaukola P9 and Hannu Karesola P8 great work guys.
Lap 3 – Rami Kaukola flying over the track and overtaking the field. Antonio Cambria pushing of Rami Kaukola. Rami Kaukola fighting back.
Lap 4 – Rami Kaukola and Hannu Karesola flying! Rami in P5 Hannu Karesola in P7
Lap 5 – Hannu Karesola overtaking Harald Stadler on the outside. What? sorry I missed Hannu Karesola overtaking Jakob de Boer..
Lap 6 – Rami Kaukola 3th! after six laps in wet. Hannu Karesola in forth. Flat Out in front of us.
Lap 7 – Rami Kaukola doing the fastest lap of the race, and Hannu Karesola with the fastest lap now with 3:56.901
Lap 8 – DISASTER: Risto Kappet, Rami Kaukola, Hannu Karesola out of the race. Error on the server.

With only 3 points infront of The Flat Out Racing team, tonight we hit Most. Rami Kaukola & Hannu Karesola are striking down. Let’s hope we can stay on top in the Simracing Team Challenge which is going to be hard since this is not the best quali for us this cup.

We hit the warm Bahrain for some hot simracing

So here we go, this is simracing so we can race here unline in real life for Formula One because of the current situation in Bahrain.

So here we go, Flat Out racing is looking good in the warm up, there 1 & 2 we are 3 & 4 so we are in for a exciting race.

Lap 1 – RPM and Flat Out touching. RPM 1 and 2. Flat Out overtaking. RPM 1, Flatout 2, RPM 3, Flat Out 4.

Lap 4 – Mike overtaking Marcin. RPM 3th and 4th.

Lap 5 – Mike and Marcin fighting hard. Flat Out hitting Marcin’s car again.

Lap 8 – 1: Mikko Korkiakoski 2: Mike Simian 3: Marcin Skryzpczak (RPM) 4: Marijn van Bommel 13:Dragos Haba (RPM)

Lap 21 – Marcin 3th position, Dragos fighing back and driving in 8th for the moment.

Lap 34 – Red flag, server error. All drivers to the pit.

After last weeks dry-rain race at the tight *** we are looking at a long race at Sugo.

Rami Kaukola
“Looking forward racing at the Sugo track. It is very familiar to me and I believe in a good result here, the car is looking good.
Hopefully the weather is dry. Not like last race where we picked racin tires, we could have won last week if we went for dry tires.
Currently I am having some problems with my drivingstyle for we did some testing and looked at the telemetry and we might have found some solution. I try to show, I still can drive and go for victory.”

Lap 22 – Dark clouds above the track. What will happen when it starts raining on this track.
Lap 28 – First pitstops. Mikko Korkiakoski in.
Lap 30 – Rami Kaukola leading the race, Christopher Aponte 8th.
Lap 35 – Polesitter Jesper Taulborg driving in 18th.
Lap 36 – Rain coming down. Almost the whole field came in for tires. Rami still driving on dry. Rami has got a 16 second lead on Mikko Korkiakoski.
Lap 45 – Raining more and more. Rami Kaukola pitting.
Lap 47 – Now it seems it stopped raining. Just as Rami made his pitstop. Rami hit the wall.
Lap 50 – Tire temperature Rami getting to high, Rami Kaukola pitting again. We made the wrong decision. Pit error, lost another 10 seconds. Rami 8th, Christopher 13.
Lap 55 – Rami Kaukola fighting for 4th place with Adam Shaw. Go Rami.
Lap 56 – Rami Kaukola overtaking Adam Shaw before the last corner. Rami 4th.
Lap 60 – Rami Kaukola dogfighting Tyler Scurlock for 3th position.
Lap 68 - Rami Kaukola in 3th, Christopher Aponte 7th. Track seems dry again. 30 minutes to go. About 30 laps to go.
Lap 79 - Rami Kaukola 4th car heavy damaged. Christopher Aponte defending his 7th place. Dariusz Swiderski behind him.
Lap 82 – Three laps to go.
Lap 85 – Race is over. What a race again.. Time for a beer and a talk. We could have won this race if we did not choose wets.

Rami Kaukola looking forward to round four in the Simracing Team Challenge Blue Cup 2011

“Last year I’ve been racing here but do not really have good memories about last year. During the race, when I was leading the race and driving on cold tieres, I went to wide and hit the wall on this tight track, losing my rear wing. The rest of the race was a fight for me, still I came in 8th place, so in the end I was happy about that.

This year I’m back and I most say I like the track, let’s hope for the best. Hope we have a fair race, it is going to be a hard race.”

“This short track is really tight, bumpy and fast with almost no room for error. Finding a rhythm here is not the easiest task, but it could be done
Looking forward racing since this is my first STC race of 2011.”

Tough race at the warm fast Daytona track!

This was the hardest race so far this season. Starting 6th and 12th. It’s close racing at Daytona.

Lap 3 - Marcin Skrzypczak pushed of twice, one by a Dutch Flyer. Peter Duivelaar 5th fighting hard in a 5 car train for 4th place with Ben Tusting.

Lap 7 – Peter Duivelaar 6th, Marcin Skrzypczak 12th. Peter overtaking Robin Johansson on the straight thanks to the slipstream Peter dogfighting Martijn van Bommel.

Lap 9 – Peter Duivelaar overtaking Martijn van Bommel on the straight.

Lap 11 – Peter Duivelaar boardradio: “There are clouds forming around the track.” Black clouds above the track.

Lap 14 – Rain rain rain, cars sliding around the track. Hard fight for second place. Four drivers: Risto, Ben, Jesper and Peter.

Lap 16 – Risto Kappet on the gras. What a fight! Peter stay cool.

Lap 17 – Leading in the pit, Risto Kappet in the pit, Peter Duivelaar in the lead.

Lap 19 – Marcin Skrzypczak behind Gregory Degreef fighting for P5.

Lap 20 – Martijn van Bommel second. Peter Duivelaar leading.

Lap 23 – Martijn van Bommel sliding in the chicane, giving more air for Peter. Jesper Taulborg overtaking. Marcin sharing paint with Gergory.

Lap 24 – Marcin Skrzypczak pitting!

Lap 26 – Marcin Skrzypczak engine heating up. Not looking good from looking at the telemetry at the pitbox.

Lap 28 – Peter Duivelaar in 6th place, Marcin Skrzypczak in 9th position. Track seems dry again. Mike Simian for Flat Out Racing is leading for the moment. Risto Kappet in second place, Robin Johansson in third.

Lap 32 – Peter Duivelaar 3th! Marcin Skrzypczak 7th, approximately about 19 laps to go.

Lap 34 – Peter Duivelaar leading the race with a 3.850 gap, Marcin Skrzypczak fought his way up to 4th place. Keep it up. Hope the tires and engine will hold till the end.

Lap 35 – Jesper Taulborg closing in on Peter Duivelaar, Peter got a gap of 1.532. Peter’s engine heating up. Gotta let Jesper pass.

Lap 37 – Jesper leading the race. Marcin in trouble. Peter overtaking Jesper! Marcin lost 10 seconds; spinning in the chicane. Rain is coming back. Good for the engines.

Lap 38 – Marcin Skrzypczak & Peter Duivelaar fighting for there live Peter leading, fighting Jesper Taulborg gap: +0.175. Jesper is dogfighting al the time. Marcin Skrzypczak having trouble with the car but stil in fourth position. Wil the rain come back?

Lap 41 – Ten laps to go? Rain is more than welcome, what a race so far. Starting 6th and 12th, this is looking very good. The Flat Out team: 8th and 15th. Good for our championship position. But we’re not there yet. Fingers crossed.

Lap 43 – Peter Duivelaar leading the race, crossing the start-finish line by +0.075! Peter under heavy pressure of Jesper Taulborg.

Lap 44 – Jesper Taulborg and Peter Duivelaar having a fair fight. Respect. Young guys and keeping the head cool. Professional drivers.

Lap 45 – There is complete sillence on our team radio.. Peter Duivelaar is holding well. Back marker coming up. 5 minutes to go.. Peters engine heating up…

Lap 47 – Jesper on the grass at the chicane.. But Jesper is on Peter’s tail again.. This is a classic race already.. Just like Mansell and Senna on Monaco in 1992 ..

Lap 48 – I can not look anymore.. it’s to much. Jesper is everywhere! Left right. 2.3 minutes to go… Is this the last lap?!

Lap 49 – Peter is the iceman… how can he hold Jesper like this? Peter Duivelaars and Marcin Skrzypczak engine are about to die.. Jesper overtaking Peter… Half a lap to go…

Lap 50 - Peter Duivelaar spinning in the chicane.. Van Bommel overtaking? Peter second Marcin 4th.

0.07 of a second over the finish some engine blows on the finish line! Peter Duivelaars and Marcin Skrzypczak engine was at 0% on the finish line.
